Founded in 1990 by Roland Schwertner and honored in 2024 with the Federal Cross of Merit, NOMOS Glashütte is an independent, owner-operated company rooted in the traditional home of German watchmaking. Its story unfolds across Glashütte: at the iconic Bahnhof headquarters, where management, development, and service operate beside active train tracks; at the sustainable Schlottwitz production hall, clad in local larch wood and powered partly by NOMOS's own electricity; and in the historic chronometry building overlooking the town, where calibers are constructed, assembled, regulated, and encased—a space that housed marine chronometer workshops a century ago.
